This partnership has a special meaning. For years, the Gdynia race has attracted thousands of international participants from dozens of countries around the world. For many of them, Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport will be their first point of contact with the region and the beginning of their sporting adventure connected with the event.
Nearly half of the participants of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia are athletes from outside Poland. For most of them, air travel will be the natural way to reach the race. Hundreds of participants will fly to Gdańsk with their bikes packed in special cases and transport bags, which are an essential part of the equipment for every athlete racing long-distance events. The airport’s efficient infrastructure and extensive network of connections will make it much easier for athletes from across Europe to get to Gdynia.
Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is one of the three most important international airports in Poland. It offers 109 connections operated by 12 carriers, making it possible to travel to more than 80 airports in almost 30 countries. Available destinations include London, Paris, Rome, Brussels, Stockholm, Zurich, Prague, Istanbul, as well as popular holiday destinations in Greece and Croatia.
In 2025, the airport handled a record number of nearly 7.4 million passengers. This year, the airport expects to pass the mark of 8 million travellers. The comfortable passenger terminal, with a capacity of up to 9 million passengers per year, has been expanded in recent years, including a modern non-Schengen passenger handling area. It provides a high standard of travel for both tourists and participants of sporting events.

This year’s edition of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia will once again bring together thousands of athletes and spectators, confirming Gdynia’s position as one of the most important triathlon centres in Europe. Thanks to the cooperation with Gdańsk Airport, participants from all over the world will be able to reach the start line of one of the most recognisable sporting events in Poland even more easily.
This is the last chance to register for an IRONMAN Poland race. Literally only the final race entries are still available. In the other locations hosting triathlon races under the “M dot” brand this season, there are no places left.
Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia is scheduled for Sunday, 19 July. On the same day, participants in the 5150 Triathlon Series distance will also start. The day before, on Saturday, Pho3nix IRONKIDS Gdynia will take place, where children will compete in an aquathlon, which includes swimming and running.
