Ahead of us is a weekend with the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia. There's no need to worry about a solid dose of sporting excitement. A series of accompanying events have been planned for fans and residents.

This year's edition of the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia competition will be special because it is the anniversary edition. It marks the tenth year since the Gdynia competition has been included in the largest global IRONMAN 70.3 series.

If I had to list three events from the history of these competitions that have stuck in my memory the most, they would be: the start of the absolute triathlon icon, Jan Frodeno, in 2019, the victory of Magnus Ditlev the following year, who is now a top athlete but was then completely unknown on the international scene, and finally the low flyover by an Embraer aircraft in LOT colors and our event during the first edition in 2015. Each of these events is associated with great memories and many anecdotes.
Michał Drelich, Director of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia

As he emphasized, the event has continuously evolved over the years, adapting to the expectations of the participants and the changing market. This year, one of the novelties will be a new race, the 4:18:4 Gdynia powered by Sportano.pl, which, thanks to its shorter distance and a swim route through the Gdynia marina, is an ideal proposition for beginner triathletes.

Fans to the beach!

Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia has been known for its unique atmosphere for years, largely created by fans who enthusiastically support the athletes on the city streets and at the finish line located on Gdynia's Śródmieście Beach. With them in mind, Enea, as the title sponsor of the event, prepares a range of attractions for entire families.

For ten years, we have supported the best triathlon event in the country, aiming to promote an active lifestyle, health care, and physical fitness. We already wish the competitors joy in participating in the race and the best results, and the fans exceptional fun and energy for cheering. The weekend with Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia is attractively spent not only by the participants of the competition but also by the fans, and for both, we have prepared a host of attractions in the Family Zone and the Expo Zone.
Berenika Ratajczak, Enea's press spokesperson

Enea's Family Zone will be located at Śródmieście Beach and open on Friday from 12:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 9:00 to 20:00, and Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00. There will be plenty of scientific experiments, games (Nintendo Sport), skimboarding, and sport and dance activities. Special workshops will introduce children to the world of 3D printing. The youngest will also learn how to harness energy from various natural sources and convert it into electricity powering devices. For those actively participating in the activities, Enea has prepared a variety of prizes.

Time for a Polish victory?

Fans along the Vistula are sharpening their teeth for the first victory of a Polish female athlete at the IRONMAN 70.3 competitions. One of the favorites is Marta Łagownik, the current European champion in middle-distance triathlon, who last year in Gdynia finished second.

In exactly one month, I will be starting at the Paralympic Games in Paris. It's the fulfillment of my sporting dreams, and I am eagerly awaiting that day. Competing in Gdynia is one of the stages of preparation and a good test before the Games.
Monika Belczewska, Polish representative in paratriathlon

Monika Belczewska's start is not the only highlight related to sports for people with disabilities that we can expect in Gdynia.

This year, the Citi Handlowy team is taking on the IRONMAN challenge with a special mission. Through our participation in the competitions, we want to encourage children and young people with disabilities to discover the joy that comes from practicing sports. Just like a few weeks ago in Warsaw, we are supported by Witek Skupień, a multi-medalist of the Paralympic Games and world champion in the 18 km cross-country skiing, who will cycle in our relay. We are joining forces to spread the passion for sports to everyone.

Mini Bikes in Action!

As part of the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia weekend program, there will also be a place for unique competitions that should bring a big smile to the face of everyone who participates or comes to cheer. We are talking about the Mini Bike World Championships, which will take place at Kościuszko Square on Saturday at 16:00.

This fun format features adults racing each other over a distance of 70.3 meters... on children's bikes. These are provided by Sportano.pl, so there's no need to bring your own bike. The goal of the event is to have fun and also support the "Play with Your Head" Foundation, which carries out activities in support and education in the area of mental health for young athletes.

Participation in these unique competitions costs 20 PLN. All funds collected in this way will be donated to the "Play with Your Head" Foundation. You can also register on-site on the day of the event
