  • I. ORGANIZERS AND CO-ORGANIZERS

    1. The organizer of IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia Poland 2016 is the sports marketing agency, Sport Evolution, with its headquarters in Warsaw, ul. Czapli 31 A, 02-781, Poland.

    II. GENERAL RULES

    1. As this is an IRONMAN event there are specific rules that apply, and the IRONMAN rules will take priority over National Federation rules. The competition will be run under this Rules&Regulations which are based on the provisions of the WTC, and the convention "without drafting".

    III. DATES, DISTANCES, COURSES

    1. The Race Office will be located in Kościuszki Square (open from 4th to 5th August 2017).
    2. IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia Poland distance (1.9km-90km-21.1km) will take place on the 6th August 2017.
    3. Start  and Finish. The starting line and finish line will be located at the Municipal Beach (Plaża Miejska) in Gdynia.
    4. Swimming – 1.9 km (Gdańska Bay, 1 lap, expected water temperature in August: 17-21°C, time limit – 60 minutes, start at the Municipal Beach (Plaża Miejska), finish at the end of Kościuszki Square. Due to safety concerns, participants are required to swim in neoprene wetsuits.
    5. Cycling – 90 km, 1 lap in the streets of Gdynia and The National Park of Tricity. There will be course markings every 5km. Traffic will be shut down on the entire course. Only road bicycles and triathlon bicycles are allowed. The time limit for completion of the swimming and cycling events is 5 hours. A competition is organized in "no drafting" convention.
    6. Running – 21.1km. The time limit for finishing the entire event is 8 hours. 3 loops, including two circular loops with a length of 7.3 km and one shorter with a length of 6.5 km. Top of the loop starts immediately after the Transition Zone. The route through the main streets of Gdynia and Seaside Boulevard. Surface: asphalt, concrete pavement. Loop with a smooth ascent (Street Świętojańska) approx. 1 km and inclination to 2.5%. The sum of gain in the loop of 7.3 km is 60 m, in a 6.5km loop is 57 m, and a summary of height at 21.1 km is 177 m. The difference heights of the course is from 1 to 26 meters. Markings course lengths are every 1 km.
    7. The transition area – the transition area will be located at Kościuszki Square (Skwer Kościuszki). Participants may only place their bicycles in the transition area on Saturday, 6th August between the hours of 5:00PM and 10:00PM; participants will be able to retrieve their bicycles after the completion of the event on 7th August between the hours of 3:00PM and 7:00PM. Placing and retrieving bicycles and other items in the transition area only allowed on the basis of starting number and subject to the approval of event staff. ​Each athlete is obliged to check in and pick up their bikes from the transition zone on their own.
    8. Aid stations – on the cycling course: at 25th, 50th and 75th kilometers. On the running course: approximately every 2.43 km. 
    9. Refreshment points – on the running course: there will be refreshment points every 2.5km where sponges filled with water will be handed out.
    10. Portable toilets – portable toilets will be located close to the starting zone for the swimming, in the transition area, and at the running course.
    11. Time measurement – electronic chip time measurement. Each participant is required to return the chip.

    * Qualification in the PRO category precludes participation in age-category rankings

    * Each participant is required to start in the designated by the Organizer wave. Unauthorised change of starting time will be punished by disqualification.

    VI. PRIZES


    1. All athletes who finish IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia, will receive memorial medals at the finish line.
    2. No more than 15 minutes before the beginning of the awards ceremony, the results of podium finishers in all classifications and age-categories along will be displayed.
    3. In case of absence at the awards ceremony, the prize can be collected only at the Organizer's office in Warsaw until September 6th 2017.
    4. The I-V place-finishers with the PRO classification for the men's and PRO women's categories will receive financial rewards and trophies. The amounts of the financial rewards are available on www.ironmangdynia.pl in a tab "Prizes".
    5. The I-III place finishers in the age categories for women and men will receive souvenir trophies and small tangible prizes.
    6. The I-III place finishers in the citizen of Gdynia category will receive souvenir trophies and small tangible prizes.
    7. The I-III place finishers in the Physically Chalanged category women and men will receive souvenir trophies and small tangible prizes.
    8. The organizer reserves the right to award additional prizes in chosen categories.
    9. A condition for receiving a reward is completion of the triathlon as well as a passing of the anti-doping test. Those whom receive financial rewards will be taxed according to established rates.
    10. Competitors whom receive a reward in the PRO classification shall not receive rewards in the age-category rankings.
    11. PRO Athletes, depending on the result, will also receive qualifying points. More information on eu.ironman.com

    VII. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

    1. Participation is limited to those who have reached the age of 18 on the day of the event.
    2. The condition for admitting a competitor in the competition is:
    - a properly filled in registration form and paid the fee in the amount specified by these rules;
    - a handwritten signature on the certificate of absence of contraindications for participation in the competition, which will be available in the Race Office;
    - collecting starting kits and bike check in the openning hour of the Race Office and Tranzition zone.
    3. Competitors take part in the event at their own risk. Correctly completed application form sent to the organizer and paid entry fee means that the participant has considered and evaluated the nature, scope and extent of the risks of participation in the competition, including the risk of accidents, the risk of injuries (including death), as well damages for pecuniary and voluntarily decided to take that risk.
    4. Participants are expected to follow directions and instructions of all race officials and public authorities.
    5. The competition will take place on the basis of the rules & regulations set out by the World Triathlon Corporation.
    6. Course marshals and race officials shall have authority to disqualify any contestant.
    7. Medical personel shall have ULTIMATE and FINAL authority to remove a contestant from the race if the contestant is judged to be physically incapable of continuing the race without risk of serious injury or death. Medical transport of any contestant will result in disqualification.
    8. If an athlete decides to withdraw from the race at any time, it is the responsibility of the contestant to report to the race marshall and return timing chip immediately. It is essential that race officials know where contestants are on the course at all times. Failure to comply after withdrawing from the race may result in contestant being prevented from competing in any WTC event in the future.
    9. Organizer provides participants with accident insurance to the amount of 10,000 PLN. Each participant will be covered by the insurance against accidents during the period of liability of the insurer on polish territory, involving bodily injury or health disorder, causing permanent injury or death of the insured. The policyholder (Sport Evolution) pays the premium. Please read the Insurance Terms and Conditions (code: PSASEV_v01)
    10. The cost of the entry fee, accommodation, travel and self-catering, each player lid on their own.

    VIII. REGISTRATION AND STARTING FEE

    1. Registrations for the IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia will be received through the online registration form at www.ironmangdynia.pl.
    2. Online registration will last until 31 July 2017.
    3. The number of participants in the IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia 2017 is limited to 2,500 participants. The organizer reserves the right to stop receiving registration forms following this limit being exceeded.
    4. The registration shall be deemed to provide a properly filled in registration form and paid the fee in the amount specified by these rules.The fee is to be paid during the registration process, otherwise the registration will be cancelled.
    5. The maximum time to complete this form and payment is 20 minutes. If you exceed the allotted time, the application will automatically be canceled.
    6. The registration fee must be paid through Dotpay transaction service. All data provided in payments are made on a secure encrypted site.
    7. The starting fee to participate in the IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia, depending on time of registration, is as follows:
    - 165 euro for first 1500 participants,
    - 195 euro for next 500 participants,
    - 225 euro for last 500 participants.
    8. To ensure that your registration and payment process has been completed, you should receive a confirmation email.​
    9. Warning! Persons making payments in euros pay the equivalent calculated at fixed rate of 4.50 PLN / 1 Euro. If a significant increase in the Euro exchange rate will appear, the Organizer reserves the right to increase the conversion.
    10. It is not possible to transfer payment to another participant or another year.
    11. Resigning from the event must be sent by an e-mail at the adress: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you would like to resign from participation in the Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia, please take into account that:
    - up to 4 months before the competition (until 6 April 2017); 50% of the starting fee is refundable
    - up to 2 months before the competition (until 6 June 2017); 25% of the starting fee is refundable
    - For resignations taking place less than 2 months before the competition (after 6 June 2017); the starting fee is not refundable.

    13. IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia is excluded from the race transfer policy.

    IX. STARTING KITS

    1. The starting fee includes the following: 
    accident insurance to the amount of 10,000 PLN,
    - 4 bib numbers with 4 safety pins,
    - a swimming cap,
    - a wristband,
    - 2 bags for dry and wet things (to the Transition zone),
    - a backpack with IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia logo,
    - a finisher IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia t-shirt,
    - water, isotonic beverages, energy bars, and fruits at aid stations and in beverage zones,
    - water-filled sponges at refreshment stations,
    - a souvenir medal at the finish,
    - a draw-string bag for deposit,
    - a voucher for the Welcome Banquet (5th August 2017),
    - folder of IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia information,
    - souvenirs from sponsors and partners of the event.
    2. The basis to receive a starting kit is to sign certificates for the absence of contraindications and verification of data on the basis of an identity document.
    3. Participants of IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia shall collect their starting kits personally.
    4. The Race office will be located at Kościuszki Square in Gdynia. Office will be open on the following days and times:
    - 4th August 2017 (Friday) - from 12 am to 8 pm,
    - 5th August 2017 (Saturday) - from 9 am to 8 pm.
    NOTE: On 6th August 2017 the Race office will be closed.
    5. Starting kits that are not received in opening hours of the Race office will not be given or sent at a later date.
    6. Welcome Banquet will be held on 5 August 2017. From 4 pm to 8 pm. The basis to receive a meal coupon is included in the starting kit.

    X. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. In accordance to Art. 24 paragraph. 1 of the Act of 29th August 1997. Protection of Personal Data (Dz. U. 1997 No. 133, item. 883, as amended. D.) to inform you that personal data administrator of IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia 2016 participants is Sport Evolution Pawelec and Company Sp. J. ul. Zimowa 31a/28 05-515 Nowa Iwiczna and World Triathlon Corporation (WTC).
    2. Personal data of participants of IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia will be processed for the purposes of organizing and carrying out IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia 2017, to select the winner and to award, release, receive the prize and other activities related to the economic activity and will not be shared with other customers.
    3. The participant has a right to access his/her data and correct them. Providing personal data and consent to their processing is optional, but necessary to achieve the said objectives. Failure of data or lack of consent to the processing prevents participation in Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia 2016.
    Please be advised that expressed consent may be revoked at any time.
    4. Personal data of IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia participants will be used in accordance with the conditions laid down in the Act of 29th August 1997. Protection of Personal Data (Dz. U. 1997 No. 133, item. 883, as amended. D.).
    5. Processing of participants data, in connection with participation in IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia 2017, includes publication of name, surmane, year of birth, club participant with the name of the town in which he resides - in every way in which the project will be published.
    6.All information concerning participants obtained by the Organiser and included in the registration form will be recorded in electronic way and in each case they will be used pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No 133, item 883). The Organiser will not disclose this information to third parties.


    XI. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

    1. Complaints on matters relating to IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia, should be submitted in writing together with the reasons for the contractor to: Sport Evolution, ul. Czapli 31a, 02-781 Warsaw, with a note "IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia - Complaint", within 7 days from the date of the event - directly or by registered mail (postmark date).
    2. Complaints received after the deadline specified in paragraph 1 of this section shall be considered.
    3. Complaints about IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia Organizer will be consider within 30 days of their receipt.
    4. The Organizer's decision on complaints about IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia will be final.


    XII. FINAL REMARKS

    1. All IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia participants are bound by the following Rules&Regulations.
    2. The organizer reserves the right to carry out interviews with participants and to photograph and record participants for marketing and promotional purposes.
    3. The organizer reserves the right to use, without compensation, all photographs, films, interviews, and voice recordings introducing the event participants. These materials may be used by the organizer in the form of CD-ROMs, DVDs, catalogues, internet sites, newspapers, and exhibition stands, as well for promotional-commercial purposes concerning the events run by the organizers.
    4. The use of any kind of narcotic, illegal substance, drugs improving athletic performance, as well as alcoholic product is forbidden in the area encompassing the event. Failure to abide by this rule may result in exclusion from participation in the event.
    5. No athlete may use measures or actions to increase efficiency. Any attempt of doping will be dealt in accordance with the principles of anti-doping IRONMAN, described in article II in these Rules&Regulations. (Section 2.03). Athletes may be required to undergo testing before and after the event. If an athlete is called upon to control, it is required to appear for inspection.
    6. The Medical Control Rules are in harmony with WTC Anti-Doping regulations and policies on banned substances, will be binding on all participants. In addition, other rules and regulations, even if not yet recognized by the WTC Anti-Doping, may be instituted, which if such occurs, you agree to abide by.
    7. Should any participant have an Adverse Analytical Finding according to the WTC Anti-Doping code, all procedures with regards to handling of the sample, notification, testing of the B Sample, adjudication and suspensions will be in accordance with WTC rules.
    8. Each participant of triathlon is obliged to take part in competition in the cap submitted at the starting kit, put the starting number while cycling: from the back over the buttocks, under the saddle and bicycle helmet; during the run: in front, at waist level - under penalty of disqualification.
    9. The event organizer guarantee medical care on the race course and at the finish line.
    10. The event organizer guarantees safety in the water during the competition (through WOPR).
    11. The event organizer guarantee deposit.
    12. The event organizer is not responsible for lost valuables during the event.
    13. In case of theft or damage to equipment, each participant is obliged to report this fact to the Organizer representative in the Transition zone and the police. Entries will be accepted by the Organiser only until it receives the equipment and leave the Transition zone by a competitor.
    14. The results will be published on the site www.ironmangdynia.pl and passed along to the media.
    15. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event without citing cause. The triathlon will take place regardless of weather. In the event of a red flag preventing the swimming leg of the event from taking place, the swimming part will be changed into a common start run of 5km.
    16. The organizer reserves the right to make rule changes at any time provided all athletes are notified in writing and/or at the pre-race athlete briefing meeting. Notification of any change will be in accordance with WTC procedures.
    17. Issues not covered in the rules & regulations will be resolved by the event organizers.
  • I. ORGANIZERS AND CO-ORGANIZERS

    1. The organizer of Sprint Triathlon Gdynia 2017 is Sport Evolution, with its office in Warsaw, ul. Czapli 31A, 02-781 Warsaw.

    II. GENERAL RULES

    1. The competition in the convention without drafting.
    2. The judges notify athletes of a breach of the Rules&Regulations showing the colorful cards in conjunction with verbal directive.
    3. Colors of cards and related penalties are the following:

    Yellow card: Temporary penalty Stop and Go;
    Blue card: 1:00 Minute Penalty Time
    Red card: disqualification;

    4. Any player who collects three cards (of any color) will be disqualified.
    5. A red card can be collected by too serious infringement disregard decisions of judges and organizers or unsafe and unsportsmanlike conduct.

    III. DATES, DISTANCES, COURSES

    1. The Race Office will be located in Kościuszki Square (open on 4th August 2017).
    2. Sprint Triathlon Gdynia 2017 distance (0,75-20,6-5) will take place on 5th August 2017.
    3. Start and Finish. The starting line and the finish line will be located at the Municipal Beach (Plaża Miejska) in Gdynia.
    4. Swimming –  0.75km (Gdańska Bay, 1 lap, expected water temperature in August: 17-21°C, time limit – 30 minutes, start at the Municipal Beach (Plaża Miejska) and finish at the end of Kościuszki Square. Swimming in the neoprene wetsuits is allowed and recommended by the Organizer. If the water temperature will be below 16°C swimming in the neoprene wetsuits will be mandatory.
    5. Cycling – 20.6km. The distance to the course is 0.6 km, followed by 2 laps of 9.7km on the streets of Gdynia, approach to the Transtition zone 0,6 km. The course is flat and very fast due to mostly wide, one-way roads. Course measurements will be taken by GPS. There will be course markings every 5km. Traffic will be shut down on the entire course. All bicycles are allowed. A competition in no drafting convention. The time limit for completion of the swimming and cycling events is 90 minutes.
    6. Running – 5km. One lap. The course will take place on the main streets of Gdynia and Seaside Boulevard on asphalt and cobblestone roads. The course will be marked every 1km. One loop with a smooth ascent (ul. Świętojańska) approx. 1 km and inclination to 2.5%. The time limit for finishing the entire event is 2 hours.
    7. Nutrition Points – running course: one point with drinks (isotonic drink, water) and at the finish line isotonic drinks, mineral still water, fruits, power bars.
    8. Refreshment Points – next to the nutrition points. 
    9. The transition area – the transition area will be located at Kościuszki Square (Skwer Kościuszki). Participants may only place their bicycles in the transition area on Friday, 4th August between the hours of 3:00PM and 9:30PM; participants will be able to retrieve their bicycles after the completion of the event on 5th August between the hours of 2:00PM and 4:00PM. Placing and retrieving bicycles and other items in the transition area only allowed on the basis of starting number and subject to the approval of event staff. ​Each athlete is obliged to check in and pick up their bikes from the transition zone on their own
    10. Portable toilets – portable toilets will be located close to the starting zone for the swimming, in the transition zone, at the cycling and running course.
    12. Time measurement – electronic chip time measurement. Each participant is required to return the chip.
    13. Helmet is obligatory - on the cycling course and in the Transition zone.

    1.There will be two waves, depending on age category and the sex of participants.

    II wave start at 12:00 AM (All Women, Men 40+)
    2. The organizer reserves the right to change the organization of wave starts.
    3. Each participant is required to start in the designated by the Organizer wave. Unauthorised change of starting time will be punished by disqualification.

    VI. PRIZES

    1. All participants who finish Sprint Triathlon Gdynia will receive a memorial medals at the finish line.

    - a properly filled in registration form and paid the fee in the amount specified by these rules;
    - a handwritten signature on the certificate of absence of contraindications for participation in the competition, which will be available in the Race Office;
    - collecting starting kits and bike check in the openning hour of the Race Office and Tranzition zone.
    3. Under-age participants will be allowed exclusively upon presenting photo identification as well as a permission to take part in the event signed by parents or legal guardians. 
    4. Competitors take part in the event at their own risk. A correctly completed application form sent to the organizer and paid entry fee means that the participant has considered and evaluated the nature, scope and extent of the risks of participation in the competition, including the risk of accidents, the risk of injuries (including death), as well damages for pecuniary and voluntarily decided to take that risk.
    5. Participants are expected to follow directions and instructions of all race officials and public authorities.
    6. Course marshals and race officials shall have authority to disqualify any contestant.
    7. Medical personel shall have ULTIMATE and FINAL authority to remove a contestant from the race if the contestant is judged to be physically incapable of continuing the race without risk of serious injury or death. Medical transport of any contestant will result in disqualification.
    8. If an athlete decides to withdraw from the race at any time, it is the responsibility of the contestant to report to the race marshall and return timing chip immediately. It is essential that race officials know where contestants are on the course at all times.

    Organizer provides participants with accident insurance to the amount of 10,000 PLN. Each participant will be covered by the insurance against accidents during the period of liability of the insurer on polish territory, involving bodily injury or health disorder, causing permanent injury or death of the insured. The policyholder (Sport Evolution) pays the premium. Please read the Insurance Terms and Conditions (code: PSASEV_v01)
    10. The cost of the entry fee, accommodation, travel and self-catering, each player lid on their own.

    VIII. REGISTRATION AND STARTING FEE

    1. Registrations for the Sprint Triathlon Gdynia will be received online on www.ironmangdynia.pl.
    2. Online registration will last until 31st July 2017. 
    3. The registration shall be deemed to provide a properly filled in registration form and paid the fee in the amount specified by these rules.The fee is to be paid during the registration process, otherwise the registration will be cancelled. 
    4. The number of participants in the Sprint Triathlon Gdynia 2017 is limited to 1000 participants. The organizer reserves the right to stop receiving registration forms following this limit being exceeded.
    5. The starting fee to participate in the Sprint Triathlon Gdynia, depending on registration date, is as follows:

    until 31 December 2017         200 PLN
    until 31 March 2017 250 PLN
    until 30 June 2017 300 PLN
    until 31 July 2017 350 PLN

    6.To ensure that your registration and payment process has been completed, you should receive a confirmation email.​
    7. Warning! Persons making payments in euros pay the equivalent calculated at fixed rate of 4.50 PLN / 1 Euro. If a significant increase in the Euro exchange rate will appear, the Organizer reserves the right to increase the conversion.
    8. The registration fee must be paid through Dotpay transaction service. All data provided in payments are made on a secure encrypted site.
    9. It is not possible to transfer payment to another participant or another year.

    IX. STARTING KITS

    1. The starting fee entails the following:
    - NNW insurance up to 10,000 PLN,
    - bib numbers with safety pins,
    - a swimming cap,
    - a wristband,
    - a Finisher Sprint Triathlon Gdynia T-shirt,
    - water, isotonic beverages and fruits at aid stations and in beverage zones
    - a souvenir medal at the finish,
    - two bags for dry and wet things (to the tranzition zone),
    - a draw-string bag for deposit,
    - a voucher for the Welcome Banquet (4th August 2017),
    - Race book,
    - souvenirs from sponsors and partners of the event.
    2. The basis to receive a starting kit is to sign certificates for the absence of contraindications and verification of data on the basis of an identity document.
    3. Participants od Sprint Triathlon Gdynia shall collect their starting kit personally. 
    4. The Race office will be located at Kościuszki Square. Office will be open on 4th August 2017 (Friday) - from 12.00 am to 8.00pm.
    NOTE: On 5th of August 2017 the Race office will be closed.
    5. Starting kits that are not received in opening hours of the Race office will not be given or sent at a later date.
    6. Welcome Banquet will be held on 4th of August 2017, form 4 pm to 8 pm. The basis to receive a meal coupon is included in the package.

    X. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. In accordance to Art. 24 paragraph. 1 of the Act of 29th August 1997. Protection of Personal Data (Dz. U. 1997 No. 133, item. 883, as amended. D.) to inform you that personal data administrator of Sprint Triathlon Gdynia participants is Sport Evolution Pawelec and Company Sp. J. ul. Zimowa 31a/28 05-515 Nowa Iwiczna.
    2. Personal data of participants of Sprint Triathlon Gdynia will be processed for the purposes of organizing and carrying out Sprint Triathlon Gdynia, to select the winner and to award, release, receive the prize and other activities related to the economic activity and will not be shared with other customers.
    3. The participant has a right to access his/her data and correct them. Providing personal data and consent to their processing is optional, but necessary to achieve the said objectives. Failure of data or lack of consent to the processing prevents participation in Sprint Triathlon Gdynia.
    Please be advised that expressed consent may be revoked at any time.
    4. Personal data of Sprint Triathlon Gdynia participants will be used in accordance with the conditions laid down in the Act of 29th August 1997. Protection of Personal Data (Dz. U. 1997 No. 133, item. 883, as amended. D.).
    5. Processing of participants data, in connection with participation in Sprint Triathlon Gdynia, includes publication of name, surname, year of birth, club participant with the name of the town in which he resides - in every way in which the project will be published.
    6.All information concerning participants obtained by the Organiser and included in the registration form will be recorded in electronic way and in each case they will be used pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No 133, item 883). The Organiser will not disclose this information to third parties.

    XI. COMMENTS & COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

    1. Complaints on matters relating to Sprint Triathlon Gdynia, should be submitted in writing together with the reasons for the contractor to: Sport Evolution, ul. Czapli 31a, 02-781 Warsaw, with a note "Sprint Triathlon Gdynia - Complaint", within 7 days from the date of the event - directly or by registered mail (postmark date).
    2. Complaints received after the deadline specified in paragraph 1 of this section shall not be considered.
    3. Complaints about Sprint Triathlon Gdynia Organizer will be consider within 30 days of their receipt.
    4. The Organizer's decision on complaints about Sprint Triathlon Gdynia will be final.

    XII. FINAL REMARKS

    1. All Sprint Triathlon Gdynia participants are bound by the following Rules&Regulations.
    2. The organizer reserves the right to carry out interviews with participants and to photograph and record participants for marketing and promotional purposes.
    3. The organizer reserves the right to use, without compensation, all photographs, films, interviews, and voice recordings introducing the event participants. These materials may be used by the organizer in the form of CD-ROMs, DVDs, catalogs, internet sites, newspapers, and exhibition stands, as well for promotional-commercial purposes concerning the events run by the organizers.
    4. The use of any kind of narcotic, illegal substance, drugs improving athletic performance, as well as alcoholic product is forbidden in the area encompassing the event. Failure to abide by this rule may result in exclusion from participation in the event.
    5. The event organizers guarantee medical care on the race course and at the finish line.
    6. The event organizer guarantees safety in the water during the competition (by WOPR).
    7. The event organizers guarantee deposit belongings.
    8. The event organizers are not responsible for lost valuables during the event.
    9. After the conclusion of the race, there exists the possibility of further anti-doping tests, which requested participants must undertake if requested.
    10. The results will be published on the site www.ironmangdynia.pl and passed along to the media.
    11. A certificate of triathlon completion will be available for download no more than 14 days after the conclusion of the event on www.ironmangdynia.pl
    12. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event without citing cause. The triathlon will take place regardless of weather. In case of red flag the swimming leg of the event will be changed into a common start run of 2.5km.
    13. Each participant of triathlon is obliged to take part in competition in the cap submitted at the starting kit, put the starting number while cycling: from the back over the buttocks, under the saddle and bicycle helmet; during the run: in front, at waist level - under penalty of disqualification.
    14. In case of theft or damage to equipment, each participant is obliged to report this fact to the Organizer representative in the Transition zone and the police. Entries will be accepted by the Organiser only until it receives the equipment and leave the Transition zone by a competitor.
    15. The organizer has the right to change the rules contained in the rules&regulations provided that they notify all participants of these changes in writing or during a technical briefing before the start.
    16. Issues not covered in the rules & regulations will be resolved by the event organizers.

    II. GENERAL RULES

    1. The competition is organized in the convention "without drafting".
    2. The judges notify athletes of a breach of the Rules&Regulations showing the colorful cards in conjunction with verbal directive.
    3. Colors of cards and related penalties are the following:

    Yellow card: Temporary penalty Stop and Go;
    Blue card: 1:00 Minute Penalty Time
    Red card: disqualification;

    4. Any player who collects three cards (of any color) will be disqualified.
    5. A red card can be collected by too serious infringement disregard decisions of judges and organizers or unsafe and unsportsmanlike conduct.

    III. DATES, DISTANCES, COURSES

    1. The Race Office will be located in Kościuszki Square (open on 4th August 2017).
    2. Sprint Triathlon Gdynia Relays distance (0.75-20,6-5) will take place on 5th August 2017.
    3. Start and Finish. The starting line and the finish line will be located at the Municipal Beach (Plaża Miejska) in Gdynia.
    4. Swimming –  0.75km (Gdańska Bay, 1 lap, expected water temperature in August: 17-21°C, time limit – 30 minutes, start at the Municipal Beach (Plaża Miejska) and finish at the end of Kościuszki Square. Swimming in the neoprene wetsuits is allowed and recommended by the Organizer. If the water temperature will be below 16°C swimming in the neoprene wetsuits will be mandatory.
    5. Cycling – 20.6km. The distance to the course is 0.6 km, followed by 2 laps of 9.7km on the streets of Gdynia, approach to the Transtition zone 0,6 km. The course is flat and very fast due to mostly wide, one-way roads. There will be course markings every 5km. Traffic will be shut down on the entire course. All bicycles are allowed. A competition in no drafting convention. The time limit for completion of the swimming and cycling events is 90 minutes. 
    6. Running – 5km. One lap. The course will take place on the main streets of Gdynia and Seaside Boulevard on asphalt and cobblestone roads. The course will be marked every 1km. One loop with a smooth ascent (ul. Świętojańska) approx. 1 km and inclination to 2.5%.  The time limit for finishing the entire event is 2 hours. 
    7. Nutrition Points – running course: one point with drinks (isotonic drink, water) and at the finish line isotonic drinks, mineral still water, fruits, power bars.
    8. Refreshment Points – next to the nutrition points. 
    9. The transition area – the transition area will be located at Kościuszki Square (Skwer Kościuszki). Participants may only place their bicycles in the transition area on Friday, 4th August between the hours of 3:00PM and 9:30PM; participants will be able to retrieve their bicycles after the completion of the event on 5th August between the hours of 2:00PM and 4:00PM. Placing and retrieving bicycles and other items in the transition area only allowed on the basis of starting number and subject to the approval of event staff. Each athlete is obliged to check in and pick up their bikes from the transition zone on their own.
    10. Portable toilets – portable toilets will be located close to the starting zone for the swimming, in the transition zone, at the cycling and running course.
    12. Time measurement – electronic chip time measurement. Each participant is required to return the chip.
    13. Helmet is obligatory - on the cycling course and in the Transition zone.

    V. START

    1. The Sprint Triathlon Gdynia Relays race will start with the II wave of Sprint Triathlon Gdynia race at 12:00 (date: 5.08.2017).

    VI. PRIZES

    1. All participants who finish Sprint Triathlon Gdynia will receive a memorial medals at the finish line.
    2. No more than 15 minutes before the beginning of the awards ceremony, the results of podium finishers in all classifications will be displayed.
    3. In case of absence at the awards ceremony, the prize can be collected only at the Organizer's office in Warsaw until September 5th 2017.
    4. Winners of I-III places of all classifications will receive cups.
    5. The organizer reserves the right to award additional prizes in chosen categories.

    VII. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

    1. Participation is limited to those who have reached the age of 16 on the day of the event and sign a document stating lack of known medical complications that could result from taking part in the event available in the Race office.
    2. The condition for admitting a competitor in the competition is:
    - a properly filled in registration form and paid the fee in the amount specified by these rules;
    - a handwritten signature on the certificate of absence of contraindications for participation in the competition, which will be available in the Race Office;
    - collecting starting kits and bike check in the openning hour of the Race Office and Tranzition zone.

    1. Popularization aquathlonu among children and adolescents and triathlon as an Olympic sport.
    2. Promotion of Gdynia.

    1. The Race Office will be located in Gdynia Arena, ul. Kazimierza Górskiego 8 (open on 7 August 2015, form 12:00 till 14:00).
    2. Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 will take place on Friday, 7th of August 2015. Start of the first race at 15:00 local time.
    3. Start and Finish. The starting line will be located at Bulwar Nadmorski next to Barracuda Restaurant in Gdynia.
    4. Swimming – in Gdańska Bay, 1 lap, expected water temperature in August: 17-20°C, start at the beach. Participants have to have their own swimming equipement. Due to safety concerns when the water temperature is below 21°C, participants are allowed to to swim in neoprene wetsuits. The swim caps are provided by the organizer.
    5. Running – laps along Bulwar Nadmorski on asphalt and cobblestone. The participant have to have running equipement. It is not allowed to run without the top or bib number.
    6. The transition zone – will be located at Bulwar Nadmorski next to Barracuda Restaurant. The distance form water is about 20m.
    7. Time measurement – electronic chip time measurement.

    IV. RACES, WAVES, DISTANCES

    1. Race I: Aquathlon (swimming-100 m, run-0,5 km. I wave : start 15:00 - kids (8-9 years, girls and boys)
    2. Race II: Aquathlon (swimming-200 m, run-1,0 km. II Wave : start 15:20 - kids (10-11 years, girls and boys) III Wave : Start 15:50 - kids (12-13 years, girls and boys)
    3. Race III: Aquathlon (swimming – 400m, run - 2,0 km) IV Wave: start 16:20 teen race, (14-15 years*, girls and boys)

    V. AGE CATEGORIES

    1. K8 / M8 (girls and boys born between: 01.01.2006-31.12.2007 )
    2. K10 / M 10 (girls and boys born between: 01.01.2004-31.12.2005)
    3. K12 / M12 (girls and boys born between: 01.01.2002-31.12.2003)
    4. K14 / M14 (girls and boys born between: 08.08.1999-31.12.2001) Racers cannot be 16 years of age.

    VI. PRIZES

    Three best girls races and three boys racers in the following categories: K8, K10, K12, K14, M8, M10, M12, M14) will receive commemorative trophies and prizes.
    All racers will be awarded commemorative medals for completing Aquathlon.
    Notes! In order to receive the prize, a racer has to be present during the podium ceremony.

    VII. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

    1. Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 is organized for the kids. The races are open to kids who were born between 08.08.1999 and 31.12.2007.
    2. The competition will be played under this Rules and Regulation document.
    3. Races are obliged to have a valid photo ID and legal guardians consent to participate.

    VIII. REGISTRATION AND STARTING FEE

    1. Registrations for the Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 will be received online on www.ironmangdynia.pl (from the 9th of Febuary 2015).
    2. Registrations for the Sprint Triathlon Gdynia will be received online on www.ironmangdynia.pl  (from 1 December 2014).
    3. Online registration will last until 31 July 2015. After this date, registration will only be possible at the Race Office in Gdynia Arena, ul. Kazimierza Gorskiego 8 on the 7th of August 2015.
    4. Registration entails a properly-filled registration form a, signed declaration concerning medical history, and payment of the starting fee (excluding those for whom the fee does not apply).
    5. The number of participants in the Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 in the sprint distance is limited to 500. The organizer reserves the right to stop receiving registration forms following this limit being exceeded.
    6. The starting fee to participate in the Aquathlon Gdynia 2015, depending on registration date, is as follows

    until 31 March 2015 50 PLN
    until 30 June 2015 65 PLN
    until 31 July 2015 70 PLN
    after 31 July 2015 75 PLN

    After filling in the registration form the payment might be done on line by Dotpay system.
    Group payments made by traditional transfer should be directed to:

    8. A signal that the starting fee has been received is the appearance of the word ”Tak” next to the racers's surname on starting list on www.ironmangdynia.pl. The starting numbers will be organized according to categories till the end of July 2015.
    9. In the event of payment of an insufficient amount (e.g. if the amount paid is insufficient for the term in which it was paid), the participant is required to submit the amount constituting the difference according to the payment term in which the payment was first made.
    10. Attention! Those submitting payment in a currency other than PLN should submit an amount equivalent to the fees outlined in VIII.5, which will be converted automatically by the banking system.
    11. Those making payments after 31 July 2015 should have their payment confirmation with them when they present themselves at the Event Office.
    12. It is possible to make multiple payments for multiple participants through one transfer. In this case, the title of the transfer should read „Group payment” as well as contain the names and surnames of the participants for whom the transfer is being made.
    13. During the pickup of their participation packets, participants are required to present their identification cards in order to verify their identity and age.
    14. It is not possible to transfer payment to another participant or another year.
    15. The starting fee entails the following:

    • NNW insurance up to 5,000 PLN
    • bib number with 4 safety pins
    • a swimming cap
    • a souvenir Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 t-shirt
    • water at the finish zone
    • a souvenir medal at the finish
    • a draw-string bag
    • folder of Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia information
    • souvenirs from sponsors and partners of the event


    16. The organizer issues a VAT invoice upon demand. VAT invoices concerning payments by transfer are issued within 7 days of the funds being received and only for those making the payments upon presented contact information.
    17. We issue VAT invoices for cash payments in the Event Office no later than 7 days from the day of payment.
    18. The organizer is not required to issue an invoice if it is requested after 7 days from the day of payment.

    IX. ACCOMMODATIONS

    1. Costs of accommodations, transportation, and personal nutrition are covered by the participants.

    X. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. Personal data of Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 participants will be processed for purposes of organising the races, presenting results and awards settlement.
    2. Personal data of Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 participants will be used in accordance with the conditions laid down in the Act of 29 August 1997. On the protection of personal data (Dz. U. of 2002., No. 101, item. 926). The Data Controller is the organizer.
    3. Processing of the data referred to in paragraph 1 of this section in connection with participation in Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 also includes the publication of participant's name with the name of the place where he resides - in every way in which the published or distributed by the project. The organizer also has the right to publish the name of the participant along with his date of birth, name of the club and the city in which he resides, on the start list of Aquathlon Gdynia 2015 and the results of the competition and publish on the Internet site www.ironmangdynia.pl.
    4. The participant has the right to inspect their personal data and correct them.
    5. Providing personal data and consent to their processing is voluntary, but their failing or lack of consent to the processing prevents participation in Aquathlon Gdynia 2015.

    XI. COMMENTS & COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

    1. Comments and complains concerning the Sprint Triathlon Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia should be put in writing and sent to: Sport Evolution, ul. Czapli 31a, 02-781 Warszawa. Comments and complaints should contain the postscript: Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia - Reklamacja, Sprint no more than 7 days from the date of the event (determined by postage stamp).
    2.  Comments and complaints received after the specified time period will not be received.
    3. Comments and complaints concerning the Aquathlon Gdynia organizers will be reviewed within 30 days of being received.
    4. All decisions of the organizers concerning comments and complaints will be final. 

    XII. FINAL REMARKS

    1. All Sprint Triathlon Gdynia Relay participants are bound by the following Rules&Regulations.
    2. The organizer reserves the right to carry out interviews with participants and to photograph and record participants for marketing and promotional purposes.
    3. The organizer reserves the right to use, without compensation, all photographs, films, interviews, and voice recordings introducing the event participants. These materials may be used by the organizer in the form of CD-ROMs, DVDs, catalogs, internet sites, newspapers, and exhibition stands, as well for promotional-commercial purposes concerning the events run by the organizers.
    4. The use of any kind of narcotic, illegal substance, drugs improving athletic performance, as well as alcoholic product is forbidden in the area encompassing the event. Failure to abide by this rule may result in exclusion from participation in the event.
    5. The event organizers guarantee medical care on the race course and at the finish line.
    6. The event organizer guarantees safety in the water during the competition (by WOPR).
    7. The event organizers guarantee showers as well as a place to deposit belongings.
    8. The event organizers are not responsible for lost valuables during the event.
    9. After the conclusion of the race, there exists the possibility of further anti-doping tests, which requested participants must undertake if requested.
    10. The results will be published on the site www.ironmangdynia.pl and passed along to the media.
    11. A certificate of triathlon completion will be available for download no more than 14 days after the conclusion of the event on www.ironmangdynia.pl
    12. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event without citing cause. The triathlon will take place regardless of weather. In case of red flag the swimming leg of the event will be changed into a common start run of 5km.
    13. Each participant of triathlon is obliged to take part in competition in the cap submitted at the starting kit, put the starting number while cycling: from the back over the buttocks, under the saddle and bicycle helmet; during the run: in front, at waist level - under penalty of disqualification.
    14. In case of theft or damage to equipment, each participant is obliged to report this fact to the Organizer representative in the Transition zone and the police. Entries will be accepted by the Organiser only until it receives the equipment and leave the Transition zone by a competitor.
    15. The organizer has the right to change the rules contained in the rules&regulations provided that they notify all participants of these changes in writing or during a technical briefing before the start.
    16. Issues not covered in the rules & regulations will be resolved by the event organizers.
